Treatments: Radiofrequency or Microwave Ablation

Both procedures are minimally invasive treatments designed to kill cancerous tissue while sparing healthy tissue. Using X-Ray imaging, a needle is guided into the tumor. Radiofrequency ablation transmits electric currents while microwave ablation transmits microwave energy through the needle. These create heat and kill the tumor.

These procedures are often used when surgery is not an option for the patient. They can help relieve pain, control tumor growth or even eliminate tumors.
